House of the Dragon Finale Reaches 9.3 million Viewers

The Season 1 finale of “House of the Dragon” on Sunday was HBOs most-watched series finale since “Game of Thrones,” with 9.3 million viewers, according to Warner Bros. Discovery.
Episode 10, “The Black Queen,” didnt beat the series high of 10.2 million viewers for Episode 2, however.
While “Game of Thrones” closed out its final season with 19.8 million viewers, its first season ended with only 3.9 million viewers.
On the success of its predecessor show, prequel series “House of the Dragon” premiered to 9.99 million viewers, making it HBOs most-watched premiere.
Based on the works of author George R.R. Martin, “House of the Dragon” tells the story of House Targaryen about 200 years before the events in “Game of Thrones.”
